For this 2026 presentation, Gallery Simon convened Joohyun Kim, MeeNa Park, and Yo-E Ryou to investigate how existence is negotiated through relational exchange. Across the gallery spaces, the artists draw upon diverse points of departure—from the breath and bodily rhythms of Jeju haenyeo female diver communities, to topological geometry and structured light, to the material discrepancies between pigment names and manufactured paint substances—revealing interconnected cycles of becoming.

Each of the three artists investigates the nature of relationships through a distinct medium and methodology. When touring the exhibition, visitors can consider three compelling vantage points:

• Yo-E Ryou’s Breath and Water: Working through themes of nature and Jeju haenyeo diving communities, the artist explores the intimate relationship between breath, the body, and the sea, illuminating shared connections of respiration, memory, and tactile sensation.
• Joohyun Kim’s Light and Structure: Grounded in principles of mathematical topology, the artist develops logical and systematic expansions, constructing expansive relational networks of geometric form and radiant light.
• MeeNa Park’s Color and Communication: Investigating the conceptual and physical gap between nominal color names and their material manufactured substance, the artist highlights how discrepancies create misperceptions and shape the spectrum of visual communication in painting.
