Im Huijae Exhibition: three kinds of evidence
Books, manuscripts and publicity images show different stages in a work’s life. Find a familiar title, then compare the form of the writing with the way a production was presented visually. Check individual labels instead of assuming that every item belongs to the same film or drama.
A writer from Geumsan
Born in Nami-myeon in 1919, Im won a Chosun Ilbo drama-writing competition in 1955 with Giryuji. His screen credits include Mabu, The Houseguest and My Mother, Hyeolmaek and the television drama Assi. This is a display of literary and screen-related materials; the announcement does not promise screenings.
Before a scene reaches the screen
The official account refers to 68 film scripts from 1961–1970 and 253 episodes of Assi broadcast in 1970–1971. Rather than treating the numbers as the whole story, consider how dialogue and relationships are first organized in writing. Do not confuse the ceremony with the exhibition
The large September 9, 15:00 date on the invitation refers to the opening ceremony, which has passed. The exhibition lasts through December 31; a separate September 12 literary festival has also ended. Use the Insamgoeul Library address, not the education office’s similarly named Geumsan Library.
