Gyeongbokgung Night Viewing 2026: Final Dates and Tickets

Gyeongbokgung Night Viewing ends on October 2. As of September 26, the remaining regular opening dates are September 26, 27 and 30, and October 1 and 2. Gates open at 7pm, but entry closes an hour before the 9:30pm closing time. Choose an arrival time before building the rest of your evening around the palace.

Gyeongbokgung Night Viewing tickets

Regular admission costs KRW 3,000 through NOL Ticket. The announcement lists 3,000 online places per day and a maximum of four tickets per buyer. The overall sales period ends at 23:59 on October 1; check the sales cutoff and remaining inventory for your actual date. An operating date does not guarantee ticket availability.

Walk-up tickets for foreign visitors

The announced foreign-visitor walk-up allocation is 300 tickets daily, with a maximum of two per person. Read the identification requirements and bring your passport as appropriate. Foreign nationality itself does not make admission free. Age-based and hanbok exemptions have separate eligibility conditions; an exempt child does not automatically exempt an accompanying adult.

Plan around last entry, not closing

Last entry is 20:30, while viewing ends at 21:30. Leave time for collecting tickets, checks and walking through the entrance. Follow the night-opening route rather than assuming every area accessible in daytime is open. If you are arranging dinner afterwards, allow time to leave the grounds instead of placing another reservation immediately at closing.

Choose the correct palace programme

This is general night viewing. The meal-and-tour Starlight programme and the separately ticketed Jibokjae concert have their own bookings. A shared palace location does not make those tickets interchangeable. Consult the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center for current access information, including any changes affecting the final week; the photographs here are official reference images, not a report from a visit.
