This Jinju Cultural Date Course starts with Jinju National Museum, located inside Jinjuseong, and continues with a flexible fortress walk. It is an editorial itinerary for independent visitors, not a bookable tour. Adjust the balance of indoor and outdoor time to the weather and your energy.

Jinju Cultural Date Course: start with a few objects
Use the museum’s themes of the Imjin War and Gyeongnam’s history and culture as a framework, then choose a few objects to examine closely. Each companion can select one item and explain what raises a question. Moving afterward into the fortress landscape shifts your attention from small objects to a larger historical setting.
A temporary exhibition to add
From September 22, 2026 to February 28, 2027, The Museum of My Life marks the coming thirtieth anniversary of Kim Yongdu’s first donation. It presents 173 items in 146 entries. Allow additional time if visiting during that period; after it ends, consult the current exhibition list instead of expecting the same display.
Work backward from museum closing
The museum opens 09:00–18:00, with entry ending at 17:30. Closed Mondays, January 1 and the main Lunar New Year and Chuseok days; when Monday is a public holiday, closure moves to the next weekday. Fortress access does not determine museum opening hours. Put the exhibition first and shorten the walk if necessary. Museum inquiries: 055-740-0698.
Keep the budget clear
Museum admission is free. Regular fortress entry for two ordinary nonresident adults totals KRW 4,000, excluding transport, parking and food. Residents and other eligible visitors should check exemption rules. The photographs are archival rather than a promise of current scenery. On a wet or tiring day, choose a short open section instead of treating a complete circuit as compulsory.
