The Seosan Haemieupseong Festival 2026 will be held from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11, 2026, across the historic grounds of Haemieupseong Fortress in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do. Recognized as Historic Site No. 116 and one of South Korea’s best-preserved Joseon Dynasty flatland walled fortresses, Haemieupseong preserves over six centuries of defensive heritage and cultural resilience.
Celebrating its 23rd edition under the theme “HAEMI UNIVERSE: 1421, The Gate of Time Opens,” the festival bridges living Joseon-era military traditions with spectacular night media art projections and synchronized drone formations across the stone fortifications.
