This Chuncheon Cultural Date Course combines Gangwon’s cultural heritage with a waterfront walk. Start at Chuncheon National Museum, then transfer to Gongjicheon. The sites are not adjacent: treat city transport as a separate part of the itinerary.

Museum opening details

The main museum is free, Tuesday–Sunday 09:00–18:00, with admission ending at 17:30. Closed Mondays, January 1, Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok Day. Holiday Mondays open with closure on the next weekday. Current autumn notices confirm October 5 opening and October 6 closure. Children’s facilities have separate hours and booking arrangements.

Transfer to Gongjicheon

Use a suitable bus or taxi connection, then walk at your own pace around the sculpture park and waterfront. The official tourism address for the sculpture park is 880 Yetgyeongchun-ro. It is open year-round without admission charges. Compare the scale of outdoor works and their setting with the small objects seen indoors.

Adapt the outdoor portion

Keep museum time, transfer time and walking time separate. Shorten the waterfront walk in rain or strong wind rather than forcing a fixed distance.
