This Yongsan Cultural Date Course pairs selected galleries at the National Museum of Korea with a slower walk in nearby Yongsan Family Park. It is an editorial itinerary, not an invitation to see every gallery in a single visit.

Maintenance and temporary closures mean a particular object should not be assumed to remain on view indefinitely. Permanent galleries and designated free special exhibitions cost nothing; paid special exhibitions require separate admission.
Use the current opening hours
As checked September 22, 2026, regular hours are 09:30–17:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and 09:30–21:00 on Wednesday and Saturday. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. For an evening visit, consider walking in the park first. Children’s Museum sessions and individual exhibitions have their own arrangements.

Check holiday and gallery closures
The museum closes January 1, Lunar New Year’s Day and Chuseok Day, listed as September 25 in 2026. Quarterly gallery maintenance closures are separate; the remaining listed date this year is December 7. Do not assume the museum closes every Monday. Review notices for the exact date you choose.
Finish in the park
Walk toward the pond and trees at Yongsan Family Park, choosing a short route if you have already spent hours on your feet. This is distinct from other Yongsan park-opening areas. Museum outdoor-gallery hours are 07:00–22:00 and should not be generalized to every nearby facility. The park photograph dates to spring 2014, not current seasonal conditions.
