Royal Culture Festival Autumn 2026 runs October 7–11 across four Seoul palaces and Jongmyo Shrine. Choose an experience before choosing a route: an evening event, early walk and children’s class require different dates and reservations. The festival’s five-day span does not mean every activity happens daily.

Royal Culture Festival Autumn 2026 after dark
Gyeongbokgung’s Hanbok Banquet is announced for October 9–10, 19:00–21:00, as a free reserved programme. Check dress requirements and actual remaining places in the booking information. A general palace night-viewing ticket should not be assumed to secure participation in this separately organized event.
Morning walks and family programmes
Awaken the Palace at Changdeokgung runs October 7–11 at 07:30 and 08:00, for KRW 10,000. The second session is announced in English. Junmyeongdang Children’s School at Deoksugung runs October 9–11 at 10:00, 13:00 and 16:00 for ages seven to ten, costs KRW 5,000 and requires participating children to wear hanbok. Match the timing and age rules to your party before booking.
Other palaces have distinct dates
Changgyeonggung Time Travel is scheduled for October 9–10 at 12:00 and 15:30. Jongmyo’s youth architecture programme runs October 10–11 for KRW 5,000. Changgyeonggung’s associated light programme extends to November 1, but its second scene at Daechundangji requires a separate reservation. Build around one confirmed reservation
Sales began in September, so check current inventory rather than the original opening date. The Gungpass souvenir does not replace activity reservations; its unlimited-entry benefit excludes Gyeongbokgung night viewing and Changdeokgung’s rear garden. One confirmed programme plus nearby palace spaces makes a more practical starting point than trying to cover every site. Use the official festival notice for meeting points and any changes.
